2. What this policy covers

This policy explains what personal data we collect through this website, why we collect it and the choices you have. We process personal data in line with the laws of Ethiopia, including the Personal Data Protection Proclamation No. 1321/2024.

When you fill in a form on this website, or contact us by email, telephone or WhatsApp, we receive the information you choose to share:

• your name, company, email address, telephone number and country;
• the details of your request, such as products, quantities, budgets, vehicle preferences, destinations or links.

Only the fields marked with an asterisk are required.

4. Information collected automatically

This website does not use cookies, analytics or advertising trackers.

To display the website, your browser connects to the services below. Each receives your IP address and basic information about your browser, and processes it under its own privacy policy:

• GitHub Pages (GitHub, Inc.), which hosts the website;
• Google Fonts (Google LLC), for the typefaces;
• jsDelivr, for the animation libraries;
• Unsplash, for the photographs.

The website also keeps one small setting in your browser for the current visit, so that the opening animation is not replayed. It contains no personal data and is deleted when you close the tab.

If you contact us on WhatsApp, the WhatsApp privacy policy also applies.

5. How we use your information

We use your information to:

• answer your enquiry, and prepare a quotation or proposal you have asked for;
• follow up on your request;
• meet our legal and accounting obligations.

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for marketing without your consent.

We process your information because you have asked us to, through your consent and the steps needed before a possible contract, and where the law requires us to.

7. Who we share it with

We share your information only when it is needed:

• with the service that delivers form messages to us, and with our email provider;
• with suppliers, carriers or customs agents, only as far as needed to answer your request;
• with public authorities, when the law requires it.

Some of these providers may be located outside Ethiopia. Where data leaves Ethiopia, we take the steps required by applicable law.

8. How long we keep it

We keep your information only as long as needed to answer your request and to meet our legal obligations, and then delete it.

9. Security

The website is served over an encrypted connection (HTTPS) and only loads files from the services listed above. Form messages are not stored on the website itself. No transmission over the internet is completely secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your information.

10. Your rights

You may ask to access, correct or delete your personal data, to restrict or object to its use, and to withdraw your consent at any time. Write to us at info@ethiopianfilmoffice.com.

You may also lodge a complaint with the Ethiopian Communications Authority, the authority responsible for personal data protection in Ethiopia.

11. Children

This website is intended for businesses and adults. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
